One Underberg 2016 Annual Collector Tin - (12x20ml)
Since 2005 the Gift Tin Collection has conveyed the message of "Culinary trips around the world", with a different theme each year. The chosen themes take into account culinary tastes from all over the world.
In 2016 Underberg features the Olympic Games venue and for the first time, the host city is shown exclusively: Rio de Janeiro, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. With highly detailed artwork, the Underberg 2016 Gift Tin displays a 360 degree panoramic view. Specifically, Rio de Janeiro is perfectly suited for this design as it is characterised by beautiful beaches, as well as bays and granite hills.
The high-quality embossed metal and seven-colour offset printing makes every gift tin an unique item to cherish. Complete with twelve Underberg portion bottles, this is a collector's item and an ideal gift for friends, family or business partners.
The four panels of the Underberg Gift Tin show a selection of this exciting city's rich cultural, scenic and architectural uniqueness. The Panorama begins with the annual carnival in Rio, a multi-coloured parade of samba schools; one of the largest parades in the world. Images of the Sambodromo and a gorgeously-costumed samba dancer also adorn the narrow side of the Gift Tin.
The first wide side features the landmarks of Rio de Janeiro; the Sugar Loaf, the 38 meter high statue of Christ at the summit of Corcovado and the Copacabana beach area; considered to be one of the most famous beaches in the world.
The next scene displays the famous Teatro Municipal, the "Santa Teresa" art district, including its well-known tram called "Bonde", as well as the colourful favelas. The modernist Metropolitan Cathedral and the futuristic Contemporary Art Museum convey the modern side of the area of Rio.
The second wide panel shows the culinary side of Rio with its variety and colours. Surrounded by the fauna and flora of the countryside stands a richly-decorated table with the typical Churrasco from the charcoal grill and a feijoada, a rustic bean dish. The Bar Scene of Rio is extremely vibrant and diverse. The most popular drinks of the "cariocas"-(locals) include "Rio Negro", a mixture of Brasilberg with tonic and the Caipirinha.
